Meanwhile vs while.

  

Here's a little more information on how we use 'while' and 'meanwhile'. I hope you find it useful. The answers to the practice section are available in the following post.

Meanwhile	While
Connects 2 sentences	I sentence. 2 actions
At the beginning of 2nd sentence.	At the beginning or middle of the sentence.
Followed by a comma.	No comma.
Followed by a subject.	Followed by a subject or an …ing verb.
Examples :  I went to a concert. Meanwhile, my dad was at a restaurant. Mom worked all day. Meanwhile, I was at school.	Examples: I’ll do my homework whil you watch TV. While you were singing, I took your photo. Every day I eat breakfast while reading the newspaper.
